The engagement agreement identifies the documents to be prepared, the jurisdictions they are drafted for, and how revisions are handled during the engagement.

Signing & implementation

The agreement states whether execution coordination, deed preparation, account or beneficiary changes, and trust funding support are included, and who is responsible for each step.

Additional work

Tax return preparation, appraisals, recording and court fees, other third-party costs, later updates, and ongoing administration are included only where the engagement expressly scopes them.

Your written agreement specifies the work included and any separate costs.

After scoping, you receive a written proposal that states the deliverables, the fee, the payment schedule, the assumptions it relies on, and expected timing. Nothing begins until that is signed. If the work needs to grow — an added trust, a second jurisdiction, a business transfer — we agree the change and its fee in writing first.

Why are fees not published as a price list?

The documents, ownership arrangements and jurisdictions involved affect the scope. We review those facts and quote the defined work in writing before it begins.

What happens if the scope changes?

Scope changes are agreed in writing before the additional work is done, with the incremental fee stated. There is no automatic annual review and no unlimited revisions unless the engagement says so.
