Legacy Counsel is the estate planning practice of Jacobs Counsel LLC. The work is coordination as much as drafting: what you want for your family, who can act for you if you cannot, how your property is owned, what your beneficiary designations say, and how a business interest is meant to pass. Those pieces are usually written in different places, by different people, at different times — and they have to agree.

Drew leads strategy on each matter and oversees the legal work, so responsibility is clear at every stage. Engagements are quoted as fixed fees for a scope defined in writing before work begins. Fees & engagement.

Clients include families putting a first plan in place, executives and owners whose affairs have outgrown their old documents, and people responsible for administering an estate or trust. Business, IP, NIL, and gaming matters are handled through the parent practice, Jacobs Counsel, under a separately agreed scope and fee. Before law school, Drew walked on to the basketball team at Boston College and competed in the ACC. It is a useful habit to have carried into practice: prepare more than the situation requires, and be steady when the stakes are high.
